Warranty and maintenance
All KBT products – with few exceptions - have a warranty period of 2 years.
Most articles also have a manual included in the packaging explaining the required installation conditions and instructions for use. Product specific guidelines regarding regular inspections and maintenance are indicated here and need to be followed to ensure warranty.
All goods always leave the KBT warehouse in good condition. Unfortunately transport damage can occasionally happen. Therefore we ask our customers to inspect the goods upon arrival. If any damage is noticed, this needs to be clearly mentioned on the transport documents before signing them! Without such notice, claims towards the transport company cannot be made afterwards.

KBT has all its customers insured by a well reputed credit insurance company. Payment terms therefore depend on the possibility to obtain credit insurance for the account we supply to. If such credit insurance can be obtained for the required amount the standard payment terms will be 30 days net from invoice date. If the credit insurance company does not cover the account KBT requires payment before shipment. This means that goods will be released for transport not earlier than when the invoice amount appears in the bank account of KBT. Alternatively, we can also accept a stand-by letter of credit. The first delivery to a new account always requires a payment before shipment. We do not accept payment by credit card.

CE marking
KBT residential products that comply with the European legislation according to EN 71 are CE marked, which is mandatory when importing or selling products in the European Union.
KBT tests its products for compliance with relevant European legislation. Tests and compliance analysis are being carried out by third party laboratories. KBT is also directly involved in the European standardisation and is an active member for Belgium in the European normalization committee : CEN TC 52 WG 10 Activity toys.

Certification and testing
Playgrounds need to be fun and challenging, but how about the safety of our products? KBT is constantly working on creating attractive products, with safety as our number one priority.
Most KBT products have been tested and approved according to the most recent European Standards and Directives. While the residential products will comply with EN71.1-2-3-8; our commercial products will comply with EN1176 and EN1177.
Third party safety compliance checking is done by independent specialists such as TÜV Nord, TÜV Süd, TÜV Rheinland and Bureau Veritas.

REACH
REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. It’s is a regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals.
In principle, REACH applies to all chemical substances; not only those used in industrial processes but also in our day-to-day lives, for example in cleaning products, paints as well as in articles such as clothes, furniture and electrical appliances.
To comply with the regulation, companies must identify and manage the risks linked to the substances they manufacture and market in the EU.
Therefore KBT looks for safe raw materials of excellent quality and processes them in a safe way throughout all factories. We constantly invest in research and development, quality control and product certification and are committed to using safe substances which comply to the REACH regulations.

PAKs or PAHs
PAK or PAH means polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, these compounds can be found in rubber and also in certain plastics additives or metal coatings.
Together with compounds such as phthalates and azoic-dyes these chemical compounds should be avoided or kept below certain limit values in products for children. KBT is testing its products on such compounds in order to comply with relevant European legislation.

In case personalised printed material is required, the dimensions and the printed version need to be supplied to KBT, together with a digital file with the following specifications.

Recognizing a KBT-product
Beware of copies of KBT products of inferior quality which occasionally might be found in the market.
Original KBT items always contain following:

• a batch number for traceability
• a certificate numberAll KBT items bear a traceability batch number. This number allows us to identify production data in case a problem occurs with a product or a

Logistics

Packaging
Our goods are put on pallets and sent out using carefully selected transport partners. Smaller orders can be sent as a parcel. All relevant information about dimensions of boxes and pallets and quantity of goods on pallets can be found in the KBT catalogue.

KBT customers - who can buy products at KBT?
KBT strictly does not sell to members of the public. Inquiring for this is pointless.
KBT supplies business to business essentially to customers that are VAT registered. If you are not VAT registered we advise you to buy from one of our distributors. The names of distributors in your area can be obtained from our KBT back office.
KBT’s main market is Europe. All European countries are being supplied with KBT items. Apart from the whole of Europe including Eastern Europe, KBT is also active in Australia and New Zealand, Asia and South America. At present over 80 countries are served and every year this number is growing.

Commercial vs Residential
KBT is specialised in the development and the manufacturing of all accessories for playground equipment for both residential and commercial.
Residential products are for private use. Residential products developed by KBT find their way to the backyards of private households worldwide. Millions of children enjoy the pleasure of using KBT products in their leisure time during their challenging search for new experiences. All residential KBT products comply to the most recent European Standards EN71-1-2-3-8 and bear the CE mark.
Commercial products are for public use. Commercial products are designed for public playgrounds and parks, adding value to the play envirnonments in schools, parks, day care centres and play areas in cities and condominiums. All commercial KBT products comply to the most recent European Standards EN1176 and EN1177.
