Launch KBT Foundation VZW - a new non-profit charity organisation
In 2019 KBT launched KBT Foundation VZW a non-profit charity organisation incorporated in Belgium, providing free playground equipment for projects in developing countries.
At KBT we believe that safe and accessible outdoor play opportunities are an important contributor to the emotional and physical development of children and youngsters. Moreover, we believe that everyone, everywhere should have access to safe playgrounds, close to their communities. The purpose of KBT Foundation VZW is to support communities and local initiatives in economically deprived regions in developing countries, by providing quality play equipment. We primarily focus on building up on existing initiatives like schools, youth centers, together with established organisations and local community members. Small scale projects will be chosen from opportunities in these areas.
Because this is a charity organisation, funds will come directly from donations, sponsoring, funding events, crowd funding … A first charity event to gather funds was organized in Belgium on September 8th this year and more events will follow.
